1. Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck in Center Moriches will offer support for children who lost loved ones due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Activities involving talking, music, journaling, and animal therapy will be used as a tool to help kids to cope with their losses during this summer. (Newsbreak)
2. Due to a dramatic decline in NYC COVID-19 cases, Gov. Kathy Hochul is lifting the indoor mask mandate for New York businesses. The policy shift comes as New York makes "tremendous progress" in the fight against the coronavirus with sharp drops in new cases, positivity and hospitalizations, the governor said Wednesday. Businesses can still require masking on their own, Hochul said. (Patch)
3. And they're off! The Riverhead varsity cheer team performs a Nationals Showcase before heading off to the finals in Florida. The showcase takes place Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Riverhead Middle School, located at 600 Harrison Ave. "Come support these amazing group of ladies as they perform one final time before they take the trip down to Florida," those organizing the showcase said.
