The announcement comes more than a month after a female cadet of the academy detailed sexual assault allegations during her Sea Year training. According to the cadet, whose name was not disclosed, an engineering supervisor raped her after a night of drinking. (The Island Now)
2. Long Island factories to seek role in offshore wind farms. Leaders in business, labor and energy pledged to help Long Island manufacturers win contracts to supply component parts for the five offshore wind farms proposed for the region. (Newsday)
