Oct. 20 is Drug Free Week Kick-off, Superintendent Chat and Mini-Marathon
School events dominate the five things you need to know today in Commack.

Happy Wednesday folks! Hope your week is off to a great start and that your weekend plans are coming together nicely! Any plans you want to share with neighbors? Add them to our calendar.
1. Drug Free Week: Commack Schools kicks off their drug free awareness week at Burr Intermediate School at 10 a.m.
2. Mini-Marathon at Burr: Burr Intermediate School will host their mini-marathon at 9:45 a.m. and continue through the afternoon with the third, fourth and fifth grade students running around the track at the school to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes.

3. Superintendent Chat: This evening parents and community members can meet with Dr. Donald James to discuss any concerns they may have for the district at 7 p.m. at Burr Intermediate School.
