Oct. 9 is SAT, Tennis Clinic and Freshman Car Wash

It's Saturday and we all know what that means – sleeping in, watching cartoons and relaxing with the newspaper. Be sure to digitally check in with us throughout the day to see the scores of the gymnastics meet, the outcome of Friday night's games and find out where the best local Yard Sales are this weekend.

1. SAT: As your older high school students take the SAT today, have younger siblings begin our Test Prep – we've got a whole series of SAT words, ACT differences and college essay help. 

2. Improve your backhand: Swing, that is. The girls varsity tennis team will be teaching community members all their important moves at this free clinic at Commack High School from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

3. Freshman Car Wash: The high school students will be more than happy to wash your car from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Commack High School. Have photos of this to share? Send them into victoria@patch.com for publication. 

4. Weekend Yard Sales: Another weekly special on Commack Patch, the round-up of the local yard sales seems to be a favorite – have you found anything at these events? Plan to hold one yourself? Tell us, victoria@patch.com.
