Ditmas Park Variety Store Robbed At Knifepoint, Police Say

The robbers made off with $300 in cash, according to police.

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — Two men robbed a Ditmas Park variety shop at knifepoint, the NYPD said.

It happened on Saturday, Nov. 18, around 6:45 p.m. at Cherisme Gifts and Variety on St. Pauls Place near Church Avenue, according to police.

One of the robbers showed a knife to a 19-year-old male inside the store, while the other took about $300 in cash from the register, police said.

A 59-year-old woman ran out of the store to get help, according to police.

But the two men fled north on St. Pauls Place and haven't been caught. Two suspects are pictured above in surveillance footage.
