A new monthly reading series will come to a Church Avenue café in September, Ditmas Park Corner reported Tuesday.
Kensington resident and “The Mermaid of Brooklyn” author Amy Shearn will curate the series called Lit at Lark, to be held at Lark Café (1007 Church Ave.) every third Sunday of the month, September through May.
The first readings on September 15 will highlight Guggeinheim Fellowship recipient and National Book Critics Circle Award winner Darin Strauss (“Chang & Eng,” “The Real McCoy”), Deputy Editor of Oprah.com and author Leigh Newman (“Still Points North”) and Bard Prize for Fiction and National Book Foundation honoree Fiona Maazel (“Last Last Chance,” Woke Up Lonely”).
