Thief On Bicycle Snatches Chains From Man Walking Dog: NYPD
The Ditmas Park robbery left the man with cuts and bruises on his face and hands, police said.

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — A thief riding a bicycle rode up to an old man who was walking his dog in Ditmas Park, snatched two gold chains he was wearing the pedaled away, police said.
The robbery happened on Friday, Oct. 13 around 4:25 p.m. in the area of Woodruff Avenue and St Pauls Place, just a block away from Prospect Park, according to the NYPD.
The 73-year-old was out for a walk with his dog, when the thief rode up on his bicycle, police said. The thief "removed his two gold chains from his neck," police said, then fled on his bike, according to police.

The man was cut and bruised on his face and hands, police said, but he refused medical attention.
Police released a surveillance photo of the thief.
