Studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom rentals are available, but you'll have to fill a very exclusive salary bracket.

There are 16 studio apartments available for just $788 per month. They are available to households making $28,355 to $38,100 annually. There are also 16 one-bedroom apartments available for just $847 per month available to households earning $30,412 to $38,100 for one person or $30,412 to $43,500 for two people.

And finally, there are nine two-bedroom apartments available for $1,025 per month for two-person households earning $36,549 to $43,500, three-person households earning $36,549 to $48,960 and four-person households earning $36,549 to $54,360.

To apply, go online to nyc.gov/housingconnect and submit an application before Aug. 31.

Preference will be given 50 percent to residents of Community Board 2.

And you'll certainly be getting a steal. The new building has a 24-hour attended lobby, roof terrace, library, gym, party room, internet lounge and courtyard. It's just two blocks from the C and E trains at Spring Street.
