Wall Street Office Building To Convert Into Luxury Hotel

A developer plans to convert the 13-story building into a hotel and add another story, city records show.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A developer aims to transform a Wall Street office building into a luxury hotel.

Actium Development Company filed plans with the city to convert a 13-story office building at 88 Wall Street into a 181-room hotel. The developer also plans to expand the building with another story, Department of Buildings records show.

The corner property at Water and Wall streets was built in 1902 and boasts 50,000 square feet of office space. At the moment, the building's roster of tenants include financial offices, logistics companies and an auto-towing firm, the Commercial Observer reported.

Actium is a New York-based developer that focuses on luxury hospitality and retail properties. The group did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
