2 New Developments Coming To East Meadow Next Year

The two communities, one seniors only, are scheduled to have people start moving in next summer.

EAST MEADOW, NY — Two new communities of villas, one a senior citizen community, are planned for East Meadow, with the first scheduled to open next summer.

The Beechwood Organization of Jericho is developing the communities. There will be the 48-unit Meadowbrook Pointe Gardens at 845 East Meadow Ave., and the 104-unit Meadowbrook Pointe East at 123 Merrick Ave. The first owners are expected to move into units in both developments next Summer.

For sale now, and for all ages, is Meadowbrook Pointe Gardens. The 48 homes in this community feature 2-bedrooms and 2-baths on a single level in open floor plans. Ground floor units are 1,200+ square feet plus full-size basement and patio. Upper floor units, including a loft area and private entrance foyer, are 1,670 to 1,708 square feet plus balcony and optional elevator. The community is located on the 3.05-acre former site of Oberle’s Florist & Greenhouses.

For those ages 62 and older, there is the active adult lifestyle community Meadowbrook Pointe East Meadow. The 104 single-level and multi-level luxury villa homes feature 2-bedrooms and 2-baths ranging from 961 to 1,394 square feet. Ground-floor units also have a full-size basement with the option to have it finished. Upper floor units have a loft, balcony and private elevator. Among the amenities are a clubhouse, heated pool, fitness center, and bar and lounge. The community is located on the 4.54-acre former site of Temple Emanu-El.

All homes will be built with designer finishes and energy-efficient systems. Interiors are designed with chef-style kitchens, nine-foot ceilings, walk-in closets and oversized windows. As condominium communities, owners have the benefit of maintenance-free living with snow removal, landscaping and refuse collection managed for them. Parking spaces are assigned with the opportunity to apply for additional spaces.
