Acrobat Li Liu to Appear at East Meadow Library

The family program will take place on Saturday.

Acrobat Li Liu will appear at the East Meadow Public Library on Saturday.

Liu, who was born in the city of Shenyang in the Northeast of China, began her acrobatic training at the age of six. When she was 7-years-old she was chosen to attend The Chinese National Circus School in the capitol city of Beijing.

For many years Liu traveled extensively throughout Europe, Africa and Asia with The Liaoning Acrobatic Arts Troupe. She performed with Zirkus Knie in Switzerland, Circus Krone in Germany and with countless other touring shows in Italy, Holland, France, South Africa, Singapore, Japan and Indonesia.

In 2000, she came to the United States with the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus and toured all over the nation for two years. She is currently a regular on the NBA and WNBA half-time circuits and and has appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman."

The library program will start at 1 p.m. and the admission is free. No reservations are need and all are welcome.
