Class of 2015 Fundraiser, Family Fun BBQ, Blood Drive This Week

W.T. Clarke HS Class of 2015 Fundraiser: On Monday, Aug. 26, between 11:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. W.T. Clarke High School's Class of 2015 will hold a fundraiser at Ralph's Italian Ices on Carman Avenue. Bring this flyer or wear Clarke apparel.

Laughs at the Library: Mark Brier brings laughs to the East Meadow Library Monday, Aug. 26, beginning at 1 p.m. Laughs at the Library has been a monthly program at the East Meadow Public Library since September 2004. Call 794-2570.

Nursery School Open House: On Tuesday, Aug. 27, Tender Tales Nursery School will hold an open house between 6-8 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El of East Meadow. They'll be face painting and more fun for the kids. Call 661-8451 for more information. Those who attend the open house will receive 10 percent off of registration.

Family Fun BBQ: Temple Emanu-El of East Meadow will hold a family fun barbecue - rain or shine - on Tuesday, Aug. 26, beginning at 6 p.m. The event is open to Temple members and their families as well as prospective new members. Click here for details.

Blood Drive: The East Meadow Public Library will hold a blood drive Wednesday, Aug. 28, between 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Call the library at 794-2570, ext. 560 to make an appointment.

Volunteer: Anyone interested in volunteering at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) should be 14 years of age or older; a physical is required prior to acceptance. Volunteers must commit to at least four hours per week. Read more here.
