Nassau House Fire Forces Family To Evacuate: Police
Three adults and two children were hospitalized with smoke inhalation, police said.

EAST MEADOW, NY — Fire caused residents of an East Meadow home to evacuate on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
When officers responded to a home on Arleigh Road, just after 3:30 p.m., it was fully engulfed in flames, police said.
The East Meadow Fire Department extinguished the flames, assisted by multiple surrounding town fire departments, police said.

The house suffered extensive damage and a neighboring house had minor damage. All occupants evacuated safely. Three adults and two children were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation, authorities said.
The investigation is ongoing.
