East Meadow Man Arrested After Allegedly Pointing Rifle at Bartender
William Karas, 56, allegedly pointed a loaded weapon at a bartender after he was thrown out of Paddock Pub on Tuesday, according to police.

An East Meadow man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a loaded rifle at a bartender in Paddock Pub on Tuesday night, police said.
According to police, William Karas, 56, of East Meadow was involved in an altercation at the bar and was thrown out. Karas returned to the location around 11:53 p.m. and allegedly pointed the weapon at a 48-year-old bartender, police said.
Patrons in the bar were able to grab the rifle from Karas and called police, authorities said.
Karas is being charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned on Wednesday.
