Fatal Drunken Crash In Nassau: Police
The 82-year-old victim was airlifted to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
EAST MEADOW, NY — An East Meadow woman arrested in connection to a fatal car crash Friday night in Old Bethpage.
Cheryl Bergenstock, 64, driving a 2023 Subaru Forester, struck a 2019 Toyota Corolla just before 7:30 p.m. on Round Swamp Road. The 82-year-old driver, Alan Goldsand, was airlifted to an area hospital and was pronounced dead, police said.
Bergenstock was taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.

An investigation revealed that she was driving in an intoxicated condition and was placed under arrest, authorities said.
Bergenstock was charged with second-degree vehicular assault, second-degree assault and driving while intoxicated.
