Free Fireworks This Weekend At Eisenhower Park

Nassau County is holding its annual fireworks show on Sept. 4, including a concert by Radio Flashback.

EAST MEADOW, NY — With clear skies in the forecast, Nassau County is going to kick off the Labor Day weekend with a fireworks display and concert at Eisenhower Park.

The "Celebrate America" show is being held on Saturday, and will start at 7 p.m. The free concert and fireworks show is honoring first responders and essential workers. The fireworks were postponed from July, when they usually happen at Eisenhower Park.

“We’ve made tremendous progress in the fight against COVID-19, in part thanks to those who fought on the frontlines well before vaccines were available — and I am proud to light up the sky in their honor,” said Nassau County Executive Laura Curran. “Whether you worked in public transportation throughout the pandemic, or waited on call in our firehouses, or worked as a janitor in a healthcare facility — thank you. Labor Day weekend is a big deal for our residents, so I want to thank TD Bank for helping us host this extraordinary fireworks display — providing our residents with a great way to close out the summer season in our county’s beautiful Eisenhower Park.”
