Islanders Legends Release NFT Commemorating Nassau Coliseum
You can bid to win the special artwork, as well as a weekend of experiences with Islanders legends Bryan Trottier and Denis Potvin.

UNIONDALE, NY — Former Islanders Bryan Trottier and Denis Potvin have teamed up with a studio to release an NFT celebrating the Isle's last games at Nassau Coliseum.
An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a unique piece of digital media. Owning an NFT gives you the rights to the piece, much like owning a piece of physical artwork.
Trottier and Potvin have teamed with the studio Flux88 to release limited-edition NFTs for sale and via auction. The “Closing The Barn” series includes art, audio commentary from the two and once-in-a lifetime fan experiences. One NFT will be auctioned, and depending on the winning bid, the person who takes it home could also spend a weekend with Trottier and Potvin.

“Being able to commemorate some of our favorite memories, in our own words, really is a game changer in the collectibles space," Potvin said. "It gives us the chance to stay in the game and gives the fans an opportunity to own their own piece of history.”
“The future of sports collectives will undoubtedly be in the digital world, and we’re excited to add some of our favorite memories to the mix,” Trottier added.

The sale includes four different NFTs: three are purchasable, and one will be put up for auction. The auction is live now and closes at 9 p.m. on Sept. 2. Bidding starts at $2,000.
The piece being auctioned is the gold edition called "That Place Was Rocking All The Time." It comes with animated artwork and audio commentary from Potvin and Trottier. It also features bidding tiers — the higher the final bid, the bigger the prize for the winner.
The bidding tiers are:
- $2,000 - $4,999: Winner will also get an exclusive video call with Denis Potvin and Bryan Trottier.
- $5,000 - $9,999: Winner will also get an activity with Denis Potvin and Bryan Trottier like nine holes of golf, fly fishing, a meal or attend an Islanders game at the new UBS Arena.
- $10,000 - $24,999: Winner will also get a day with Denis Potvin and Bryan Trottier to play 18 holes of golf and have dinner, or a similar activity that works for everyone.
- $25,000 or more: The winner will also get a curated weekend of experiences with Denis Potvin and Bryan Trottier.
