Nassau Police Searching For Hit-And-Run Driver
Police say the driver injured a woman and sped away. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
UNIONDALE, NY — Nassau County police are seeking the public's help to find a hit-and-run driver who injured a woman Saturday night.
According to police, a 54-year-old woman was crossing Jerusalem Avenue in Uniondale at 10:50 p.m. when she was hit by a dark-colored SUV heading west. The car left the scene of the crash and made a left turn, heading south on Clinton Avenue. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.
The SUV had damaged to its driver's-side mirror due to the incident.

Police are asking anyone with information about this hit-and-run to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
