NuHealth Participates in 'End of Summer Fiesta'

Dr. Marvin Berg provided information on safety, texting while driving, poison control and more.

NuHealth recently participated in the “End of Summer Fiesta” in Roosevelt, a program sponsored by Nassau County Legis. Kevan Abrahams and Harvest for the World.

Marvin Berg, RN, CEN, EMT-CC, injury prevention outreach coordinator at NuHealth, set up a table on behalf of Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), that included information, in both Spanish and English, on home safety, bicycle safety, distracted/texting while driving, infant safety, poison control information and emergency preparedness. Free blood pressure screenings were also offered.

Free school backpacks were distributed to the children in the neighborhood for the new school year.
