NuHealth staff provided health screenings for those attending the Bellmore Street Fair/Festival this past weekend.
Marvin Berg, outreach coordinator and injury prevention director, offered free blood pressure screenings as well as information on NUMC's injury prevention program.
Information on safety and how to prevent injuries, such as awareness of bike helmets for children and adults, no texting/distracted driving for drivers and home safety/fall prevention for senior citizens, which are the biggest population of trauma patients that come into the Level I Trauma Center, was offered.
