Robber Pistol-Whipped Nassau Gas Station Employee

Police say the man attacked an employee before making off with cash. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.

UNIONDALE, NY — Nassau County police are looking for a man who robbed a Uniondale gas station at gunpoint Thursday night.

According to police, the robber entered the Valero gas station, located at 940 Nassau Road, at 10:23 p.m. He then pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. He struck a 25-year-old man who was working at the gas station with the handgun, and the man gave the robber cash from the register. The robber then fled on foot toward Brookside Avenue.

There were two employees in the store at the time of the robbery. The man who was hit had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The robber was a black man, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a thin build.
