$1M Mega Millions Prize Claimed In Flushing
The winning ticket, purchased at a Flushing convenience store, was claimed just two days after it was drawn.

FLUSHING, QUEENS -- One lucky New Yorker's decision to stop at a Flushing convenience store for a lottery ticket is paying off - around $1 million, to be exact.
The New York Lottery announced a second-prize ticket for the Mega Millions drawing on Feb. 13 was sold from the Mitul Quick Stop at 60-08 Main Street.
The ticket, worth a guaranteed $1 million, was claimed two days after the drawing, a New York Lottery spokeswoman said.

"They claimed it on Feb. 15, so they didn't waste any time," the spokeswoman told Patch.
New York Lottery has yet to set up the famed giant check handoff to award the $1 million prize, the spokeswoman said. Until then, the winner's identity remains a secret.

The winning numbers for the Feb. 13 Mega Millions drawing were: 5 - 12 - 15 - 46 - 49 and Mega Ball 1. A ticket whose numbers match up to the first five drawn automatically wins the $1 million second prize. Players must match all six numbers to win the grand prize.
With no top prize winner yet drawn, the Mega Millions jackpot has since risen to $265 million. The next drawing is at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6.
