Woman Dies As Fire Tears Through Flushing Home
The woman's body was found after the flames were put out, police said.

FLUSHING, QUEENS – A woman was killed after fire tore through her Flushing home Thursday afternoon, police said. Maria Medina, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The blaze started in the building at 148-40 60 Ave. at 6:10 p.m. The body was found after fire fighters managed to put it out, police said.
Its cause was still being investigated Friday morning, police said.
