A man driving through Forest Park was killed Monday night after he crashed and the car burst into flames, according to police.
FOREST PARK, QUEENS — A man driving through Forest Park was killed Monday night after he crashed into a tree and the car burst into flames, according to police.
The 34-year-old driver was heading west on the Jackie Robinson Parkway near the Forest Park Drive exit about 10:45 p.m. when he hit the road's center median, then careened into a tree, police said in a news release.
The car, a 2008 Infiniti sedan, came to a halt and caught on fire.

A 30-year-old woman sitting in the front passenger seat managed to get out of the car, but the driver next to her was knocked unconscious and died soon after.
EMS rushed the woman to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was treated for back pain.
