Driver Killed in Grand Central Parkway Accident
Collision claims one life early Thanksgiving Day.

A driver was killed in the pre-dawn hours on the Grand Central Parkway Thanksgiving Day, police said Thursday.
No criminality is suspected in the incident, according to police, which occured at just after 3 a.m. Thursday.
A 53-year-old man lost control of his 2011 Honda Accord in the eastbound lanes of the Grand Central Parkway, striking the median. His car also struck a second vehicle, a 2007 Pontiac, before sliding into the median again and coming to a stop.

The incident occurred just north of the Jackie Robinson Parkway Interchange between Kew Gardens and Forest Hills.
EMT's were called and transported the Honda's driver to New York Hospital Queens in Flushing, were he was pronounced dead.

The Pontiac's driver was treated at the scene and refused further medical attention.
Police have not yet released the name of the deceased, pending family notification. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
