QUEENS, NY — A central Queens driver looking at his GPS veered off the road Tuesday and crashed into a pair of parked cars, injuring two people and flipping over his SUV in the process, police said.

The 28-year-old driver was traveling down Hillside Avenue near 148th Street, on the edge of Briarwood, about 7:25 p.m. when he took his eyes off the road to glance at his GPS and veered off the avenue, crashing into a parked Honda SUV with people inside, according to the NYPD.

The force of the crash caused the driver's Jeep SUV to flip over and crash into the back of another parked car, which was unoccupied, police said.
