FDNY Firefighter Arrested For Punching Man Over Parking Space
FDNY firefighter Gilberto Martinez was arrested for punching a man in Forest Hills over a parking spot, according to reports.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — An off-duty firefighter who received an FDNY medal of honor last week was arrested for punching a man over a parking space in Forest Hills, according to reports.
FDNY firefighter Gilberto Martinez, 34, faces assault and harassment charges for hitting a man by 76th Road and Queens Boulevard just after 1 a.m. Saturday, the New York Daily News reported.
The Hollis resident received the FDNY's Thomas E. Crimmins Medal on June 5 for his "courageous and remarkable rescue efforts" pulling two people from a burning home in Queens Village last year.

Martinez got a desk appearance ticket for the attack. He could face suspension, an FDNY spokesman told the Daily News.
