Man Dies After Fire Engulfs Queens Home, FDNY Says

The man was one of two found with burns outside the home, FDNY officials said.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS – A man died after being found outside his burning home in Queens, FDNY officials said. Another man was discovered in front of the building with burns to his arm and face.

Ramon Rahim, 59, suffered severe burns in the fire which started about 10:20 p.m. Monday at 111-29 66th Avenue in Forest Hills, the FDNY said. He was declared dead at the scene.

The other man, 30, who had not been named as of Tuesday afternoon, was taken to New York Hospital Queens in stable condition, officials said.
