KEW GARDENS HILLS, QUEENS — A brand-new exit ramp is opening on the Grand Central Parkway this weekend, state transportation officials announced.

A permanent Exit 15 opens Saturday morning on the westbound Grand Central Parkway, about 500 feet east of the existing temporary ramp, according to the state Department of Transportation.

That exit connects drivers to the westbound Union Turnpike and westbound Queens Boulevard.

The new exit ramp is part of the state's $365 million project to revamp the complex intersection known as the Kew Gardens Interchange, which refers to the intersection of Grand Central Parkway, the Van Wyck Expressway, the Jackie Robinson Parkway and Union Turnpike.
