Package Thief Raids Rego Park Building Lobby, Chokes Tenant: NYPD
Police said the thief who attacked a woman in a Rego Park apartment building was behind a similar robbery in Forest Hills.

REGO PARK, QUEENS — A man who attacked and robbed a woman in the lobby of her Forest Hills apartment building two weeks ago is accused of striking again.
Police said the same man choked a 78-year-old woman Sunday evening in her Rego Park apartment building lobby, then took several packages that were laying there.
The robbery happened in a building near Queens Boulevard and 67th Drive, the NYPD said in a news release Tuesday.

Police didn't provide specifics on the contents of the stolen packages.
The first robbery unfolded midday on July 28 in a residential building near 64th Avenue and 98th Street, according to police.

In that case, the man grabbed a 72-year-old woman's neck and took her jewelry and $60.
