Queens Bank Robberies Are Part Of Citywide Pattern, Cops Say

A robbery at a Chase Bank in Forest Hills on Thursday is part of a pattern of bank robberies in Queens and Manhattan, according to police.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A bank robbery in Forest Hills on June 6 is connected to a string of robberies at Chase Banks in Queens and Manhattan, police said.

The suspect stole $2,000 from the Chase Bank at 104-17 Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills on Thursday after giving a bank teller a note claiming he was armed and demanding money, according to police.

Earlier that day, about 3 p.m., the man tried to rob a Chase Bank at 355 Columbus Ave. on Manhattan's Upper West Side using the same strategy. The bank teller refused to hand over any cash, and the man ran away, police said.

Police say the same man stole about $1,000 from a Chase Bank at 161-10 Jamaica Ave. on May 3.

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male who is seen in the attached photos and is sought in connection with a bank robbery within the confines of the 103 Precinct. Details are as follows:
