Olivia Espinal was born at midnight Jan. 1 in Flushing.
Queens had the distinct honor of welcoming the first baby of the new year in 2013, according to New York Hospital Queens.
Olivia Espinal arrived at the stroke of midnight in the hospital's maternity ward. She is seven pounds, five ounces and the third of three daughters to proud parents Rosemary Espinal and Freddy Pena.
“Her due date was January 4 so we were very surprised and excited. We didn’t think she would be born at midnight," mother Rosemary told hospital staff.
