Shopping, Eating and Drinking: What's Forest Hills Missing?

When you head to Austin Street, Queens Boulevard or Metropolitan Avenue, what's missing? It's a question we posed to readers on Facebook yesterday, and we got some interesting answers. 

One reader, Ken Karp, went back to last year's rumor that an Apple Store was possibly being sited on Austin Street. So far, nothing has come of it. Keep dreaming — and commuting into Manhattan — Apple users.

Erica Agosto lamented the loss of the Staples on Continental Avenue, which closed last year. I think that one is probably going to stay gone.

"Something similar to Tournesol in LIC," said reader Patricia Morales. "Small French bistro with great food or perhaps a wine bar with tastings like Divine Bar in Manhattan use to have before it closed."
