Suspect Wanted in Elmhurst Rape

Police seeking man in break-in and sexual assault.

Police in Queens are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a rape that occurred last weekend.

On Dec. 9 at 4 a.m. in Elmhurst, the suspect climbed into a home through a bathroom window using a ladder. The suspect sexually assaulted his 24-year-old victim while inside, before fleeing the scene.

Police described the suspect as a young man, between the ages of 20- and 25-years-old, wearing a grey knit cap, black nylon jacket, blue jeans, red and white sneakers and a “Diesel” brand brown belt.

Police also released a sketch of the suspect, seen at right.
