Tamashii Ramen To Open Third Location In Forest Hills

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Tamashii, a purveyor of ramen noodles with locations in Astoria (Tamashii Ramen) and Long Island City (Tamashii Blue), is reportedly opening a third restaurant in Forest Hills at 71-34 Austin St., situated between Victoria’s Secret and Sephora. News first broke July 13 when Eastern Consolidated, a real-estate investment firm based in Manhattan, announced via press release that its senior and associate directors had arranged a 15-year lease for the building’s landlord, procuring Tamashii Ramen’s new expansion, called Tamashii Red, as the first-floor tenant.

“This stretch of Austin Street is a retailer’s dream, surrounded by a dense residential area with financial demographics similar to the Upper West Side of Manhattan,” said Harris Bulow, senior director at Eastern Consolidate, in the release.

According to Eastern Consolidate, 71-34 Austin Street features a highly visible corner location facing Queens Boulevard and includes high ceilings with column-free space. The building’s second floor is unoccupied, having once been used as a spa.
