Affordable Housing Lottery: 49 Apartments Available In New Fort Greene Development

See if you qualify for an apartment at Caesura, a new luxury development on Ashland Place.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A batch of new Fort Greene apartments — including some micro-sized — are now available on the affordable housing lottery.

Forty-nine units in Caesura — the new 12-story apartment building at 280 Ashland Pl. — will be available by lottery until August 11th, city records show.

The apartments are available only to applicants who meet specific income requirements.

Micro Apartments:

  • Seven units priced at $886 per month are available to a single applicant who earns between $32,709 and $66,800 per year.
  • Six units priced at $1,482 per month are available to a single applicant who earns $53,143 and $110,220 per year.

Studio Apartments:

  • Three units priced at $1,078 per month are available to a single applicant who earns between $39,292 and $66,800 per year.
  • Three units priced at $1,794 per month are available to a single applicant who earns between $63,840 and $110,220 per year.

One-Bedrooms:

  • Three units priced at $1,360 per month are available to:
    • A single applicant who earns between $49,098 and $66,800 per year.
    • Two applicants who earn between $49,098 - $76,400 per year in total.
  • Three units priced at $2,255 per month are available to:
    • A single applicant who earns between $79,783 and $110,220 per year.
    • Two applicants who earn between $79,783 and $126,060 per year in total.

Two-Bedrooms:

  • Twelve units priced at $1,642 per month are available to:
    • Two applicants who earn between $58,903 and $76,400 per year in total.
    • Three applicants who earn between $58,903 and $85,900 per year in total.
    • Four applicants who earn between $58,903 and $95,400 per year in total.
  • Twelve units priced at $2,715 per month are available to:
    • Two applicants who earn between $95,692 and $126,060 per year in total.
    • Three applicants who earn between $95,692 and $141,735 per year in total.
    • Four applicants who earn between $95,692 and $157,410 per year in total.

The lucky few chosen to live at Caesura will have access to a rooftop terrace, laundry room, gym, lounge, bike storage facility and a package room.

Each of the 123 apartments in the Caesura will have hardwood floors, quartz countertops, and keyless entry.
