FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A parking garage owned by Long Island University Brooklyn could soon be razed, paving the way for a 29-story luxury apartment tower, permits show.

Plans to demolish a parking garage, which sits on Dekalb Avenue between Flatbush and Hudson avenues, were filed last week with the Department of Buildings, but are still awaiting approval as of March 14th.

If approved, the six-story building will be replaced with a 29-story apartment tower, according to plans filed last month.

There are no plans to alter or demolish the health center. A parking garage across the street is the building slated for demolition.
