Fort Greene Townhouse Returns With New Design
Developers filed new rendering for a planned townhouse to take over a long-empty lot on St. Felix Street, New York YIMBY reported.

FORT GREENE, NY —A planned townhouse that will take over a long-empty Fort Greene lot returned for city approval this week with a new design, New York YIBMY first reported.
Developers submitted new renderings for the building at 147 St. Felix St. project that was originally approved by the city in 2016, records show. The plans call to build a three-story townhouse on the lot with two-apartments inside.
The townhouse will take over a lot that has been vacant since 1999 because damage from a water main break forced the former building there to be demolished, New York YIMBY reported.

It was the second building to be destroyed on the lot after one collapsed in 1917 because of subway construction underground, according to the website.
Ali Esmaeilzadeh bought the site for $600,000 in 2014 and plans were filed to build a new townhouse there in 2016, records show.

The city's Landmarks Preservation Commission approved the design that year, but the developer hired a new architect, JRA Design Group, and filed plans that dropped some of the wood on the facade.
