FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — The long-delayed affordable housing tower in the Pacific Park development rising over Barclays Center finally started accepting applications Wednesday.

The building, named "B2" and located at 461 Dean Street, was originally expected to begin accepting tenants in 2014.

However, the property's uncommon "modular" assembly technique — in which individual, pre-fabricated units are stacked on top of each other — led to reports of severe leaks, lawsuits and delays.

Any lingering structural problems have apparently been resolved, though, because Pacific Park management and city officials announced Wednesday that New Yorkers can now apply to live in one of the property's 181 units.
