SEE: Landmarked Condos On Greene Avenue Hit The Market

The 22 new homes will cost between $845,000 to $2.6 million.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A landmarked building that was converted into 22 new condos has put the homes on the market. The one, two and three-bedroom spots will cost between $845,000 and $2.6 million.

The post-war building, built in 1930, was taken over by Douglaston Development this year. The real estate group maintained the landmarked exterior of the building, but transformed the inside into 22 modern full-service condos.

“We saw a huge opportunity to preserve and convert a historic Fort Greene landmark and add to the neighborhood fabric – a storied, family-oriented area of Brooklyn that’s mainly a brownstone community,” said Benjamin Levine, executive vice president of finance and acquisitions for Douglaston Development. “Although we don’t typically take on projects of this scale, to be able to maintain that aesthetic and pay tribute to the history of 75 Greene Avenue while creating brand new homes is truly special and something we’re really proud of.”

Over 20 percent of the new units already in contract, with the rest available for sale through MNS. The project was financed by G4 Capital Partners, the developers said.

Tenants will move in the second quarter of this year.

“The response to our pre-marketing campaign has been overwhelming and we are very confident that this will be a highly successful development that will ultimately become a Fort Greene icon, and one that can't be replicated," said Andrew Barrocas, CEO of MNS.

The condos feature open layouts, chef quality kitchens and the bathrooms designed with tiled marble walls, heated floors and custom vanities. Some of the condos will also include outdoor areas.

The building will offer tenants a landscaped courtyard, fitness center, video doorman and valet, package room, private storage and bicycle room.

Developers added that the project will also include four townhouses at nearby 71 Greene Ave and 370, 372 and 374 Clermont Avenue. These homes will launch for sale early this year, developers said.
