1 Dead, 1 Injured In Crash With Drunken Driver: Nassau Police
Police say a man was killed in the early morning crash.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — A Nassau County man was arrested Sunday after police say he crashed into another car while driving drunk, killing one person and injuring another.
According to police, Oscar Argueta, 35, of Hicksville, was driving a 2017 Dodge Durango north on Greenwich Street in Hempstead at 1:40 a.m. when he hit a 2017 Mercedes Benz that was heading east on Martin Street.
Police say the driver of the Mercedes was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The passenger — who police identified as David Popoola, 48, of Rosedale — was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.

Argueta was charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday.
