1 Killed, 3 Wounded In Nassau Shooting

Police say all four men were shot outside an apartment building Saturday night. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — One person was killed and three others wounded in a shooting in Hempstead Saturday night, Nassau County police said.

According to police, officers responded to a call for shots fired near 77 Terrace Ave. at 10:10 p.m. Four people had been shot.

A 19-year-old man from Hempstead was taken to a hospital, where he died from his wounds at 10:54 p.m.

A 23-year-old man from Hempstead was shot in the ankle. A 35-year-old man from Westbury was shot in the leg. And a 31-year-old man from Hempstead was shot in the thigh. They were all taken to a hospital and are in stable condition.

Police did not release the names of anyone involved.

Police ask anyone with information about this shooting to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
