10 Charged in Narcotics, Weapons Investigation in Nassau

A federal sting resulted in the arrests of 10 men and women from Hempstead and Uniondale, police said.

Ten people face narcotics and weapons charges after an investigation by local and federal bodies in Nassau County.

Four people were charged between Tuesday and Wednesday in the most recent sting, cops said. Six others were charged over the course of the investigation, which is ongoing.

Charges included firearm use and sale, federal narcotics charges, gang assault, menacing, and more, cops said.

  • Ramel Myriee, 47, of Hempstead, charged with six counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
  • Raymond Lopez, 20, of Uniondale, charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of a firearm, and third-degree criminal sale of a firearm.
  • Jayson Simms-Orr, 22, of Hempstead, faces federal narcotics charges.
  • Richard Blain, 34, of Hempstead, faces federal narcotics charges.
  • Andre Chandler, 31, of Hempstead, faces federal narcotics and firearms charges.
  • Donovan Joseph, 24, of Hempstead, faces federal narcotics charges.
  • Ramel Floyd, 27, of Hempstead, faces federal narcotics charges.
  • Curel Patterson, 29, of Hempstead, charged with third-degree assault and first-degree gang assault.
  • Curtis Bostic, 23, of Hempstead, charged with first-degree gang assault, third-degree assault, second-degree menacing, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
  • Jarette Anderson, 20, of Hempstead, charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, menacing a police officer, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Detectives are asking anyone with further information about related crimes to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
