$2.6K Lottery Sold In Hempstead: Officials

It was for the mid-day TAKE 5 drawing, New York Lottery officials said.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — The New York Lottery on Saturday announced one top-prize winning ticket worth $2,684.50 was sold for the Aug 11 TAKE 5 mid-day drawing at Double Diamond Food Mart in Hempstead, according to a news release.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39, and the drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery is North America's largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.7 billion in fiscal year 2022-2023 to help support education in the state.
