Four Garden City Business Updates
Revel opening soon, New Hyde Park Road café closes.

Revel: An American-themed restaurant with a concentration on Prime steak known as Revel is expected to open in approximately three weeks, according to John Wilton, chair of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce's Merchants Professional and Retailers group. The 147-seat restaurant will offer two dining areas (51 seats and 62 seats respectively), a lounge (20 seats) and bar area (14 seats).
Cupcake Corner Closed: The Cupcake Corner, a quaint café located at 61 New Hyde Park Road that offered sweet treats for the young and old alike, closed earlier this month. According to Wilton, a Garden City resident has purchased the business from former owners John and Laura Graney, also village residents, and will "resurrect it." More on this later this week on Patch.
H.L. Gross Jewelers: Three parties - all food driven - are interested in 815 Franklin Ave., the vacant building at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Stewart Avenue. The site is the former home of H.L. Gross Jewelers, which moved across the street to 840 Franklin Ave. earlier this summer.
Calagero's: Calagero's, an Italian restaurant located at 919 Franklin Ave., is taking over the former site of Garden City Galleries, which was located directly next door. There's activity at the location as construction crews begin making way for 164 additional seats, Wilton said.
