7-Year-Old Girl Shot In Nassau

Police say the girl was shot in the arm. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — A 7-year-old girl was shot in Hempstead Saturday, and Nassau County police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

According to police, officers responded to a 911 call for an emergency on Evans Avenue at 2:51 p.m. on March 26. When they arrived, they found a 7-year-old girl with a gunshot wound on her left arm.

The girl was taken to a hospital for treatment and evaluation. The investigation is ongoing.
