Alex’s Lemonade Stand at Adelphi
University peer educators will raise funds for pediatric cancer research.

Health and Wellness peer educators at Adelphi University will host their first Alex's lemonade stand on campus Sunday.
Aug. 25 is move-in day for thousands of students gearing up for the 2013-14 academic year. Lemonade will be sold at the Quad between 5-6 p.m. to raise funds for pediatric cancer research.
In 2000, 4-year-old cancer patient Alexandra "Alex" Scott started a fundraising movement that has gone on to raise millions of dollars to help find a cure for childhood cancer. Alex, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, died in 2004 at the age of 8.
Her mission lives on at lemonade stands across the country.
