Teams of Garden City High School students from science research teacher Dr. Steven Gordon’s class traveled to St. John's University on April 27 to compete in the 2013 Chemagination competition.
Juniors Pat Gerspach and Chris Connolly (holding trophies) won second place for their Alternative Energy project.
The Chemagination competition was created by the American Chemical Society (ACS) as a challenge to teams of two or three high school students to, according to ACS, “imagine inventions using chemistry that will create breakthroughs in our lives.”
