Children’s Art Exhibit at Historical Society

Seventh annual exhibit reception and awards presentation Sunday.

Don’t miss the children’s juried art exhibit, “Seasons of Change in Garden City,” sponsored by The Garden City Historical Society at its Museum on 109 Eleventh Street.

The Society will host a reception and awards presentation for the winning artists and their families on Sunday, March 17, 1-3 p.m. Additionally, the free exhibit is open to the public on Tuesday, March 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The exhibit features all of the artwork submitted in this year’s contest from students in grades K-12. The artwork includes pencil, color pencil or pen and ink drawings, and also submissions in photography and computer graphics on the high school level.

The Historical Society thanks Dr. Robert Feirsen, superintendent of schools, and all of the Garden City schools, as well as St. Joseph’s School, for their cooperation.
