Coming to Franklin Avenue: Plancha Tapas and Wine Bar

Revised signage for Plancha, a tapas and wine bar coming to 931 Franklin Avenue, is expected to be discussed at Tuesday night's Architectural Design Review Board meeting.

The meeting is being held at village hall beginning at 8 p.m.

Plancha will replace Upper Crust Café, which closed in late 2011. The luncheonette turned café called Franklin Avenue home for more than two decades, treating diners to breakfast, lunch and more recently dinner. Ashley and Nicholas Lucchesi, chef, were the cafe's last owners.

Plancha will join two other restaurants also slated to open soon on the east side of Franklin Avenue - Revel and Kaji Sushi & Lounge.

A grand opening date for Plancha has not been released.
